In order to participate in a Sierra Club outing, you will need to sign a liability waiver. If you would like to read a copy of the waiver prior to attending the outing, please see http://www.sierraclub.org/outings/chapter/forms/ .
In the interests of facilitating the logistics of some outings, it is customary that participants make voluntary carpooling arrangements. The Sierra Club does not have insurance for carpooling arrangements and assumes no liability for them. Carpooling, ride sharing or anything similar is strictly a private arrangement among participants. Participants assume the risks associated with this travel.

This 7 mile, 600-700 foot gain hike up a delightful little cutey of a canyon in the Los Padres forest is our “Plan B” substitute for what had been originally scheduled but is cancelled due to an extended closure of the Angeles forest. As a basic requirement you should feel comfortable with scrambling around and over rocks while going up a streambed, with a little bushwhacking thrown in.  It is quite possible that your feet will get wet also. Meet 9:30am at the Sylmar carpool point (Encinitas Ave, just south of Roxford St; take Roxford exit off 5 freeway, just north of where the 405 freeway merges into the 5 freeway, in the north San Fernando Valley).  Bring minimum 1 quart of liquid, lunch, and hiking-style boots.  Call Gary at (310) 202-0792 with any questions.Leaders: GARY CROW & ANNE KIRKPATRICK

Malibu on wheels. We'll leave from the Malibu carpool point at 10 AM and pedal our way up PCH to the Ventura
county line. There we'll stop for lunch at Neptune's Net, a popular casual oceanfront restaurant (actually a bit of a dive),
before returning the same way. Total riding is about 35 miles round trip. Note: Because of the distances involved, the ride is not recommended for mountain bikes and is not suitable for beginners. Bring a helmet
(required), water (2 bottles), spare tube, pump, and $$ for lunch. Rain cancels. Meet at 10 AM, Malibu rideshare. Leaders: STEVEN HAN, JEFF BREAKSTONE
