Who we are:


Concerned citizens, community groups and environmental groups are uniting under the banner Save Crystal Cove to oppose the proposed high-priced resort in the Crystal Cove Historic District.  Our activities are spearheaded by the Crystal Cove Task Force of the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter.

Our mission:

We are working to prevent final approval of the resort proposal contract by the Parks and Recreation Commission and the California Coastal Commission.  A massive public outcry will have an effect on the votes of these commissions.

Specifically, we are encouraging people to write letters of protest to their elected officials and the two commissions, and we are encouraging people to voice their opinions at the vitally important upcoming public workshop and final hearings of the two commissions.

We advocate a renewed General Planning process to reach public consensus on the fate of the Crystal Cove Historic District and El Morro area, starting with the publicly-developed and approved 1982 General Plan and "Public Use and Development Plan".
