Boot Thawing

Frozen wet boots are easy to thaw if you think like a spaceman while living like a caveman.

Keep to pieces of ripped spacebag or space blanket or similar mirror mylar big enoug to make a cone that will cover your boots and lower legs. Tie the mylar around your calfs while leaving your boots loose, but on your feet- of course if they are frozen you have no choice but to leave them loose.

Now putter around and melt snow and make breakfast. By the time breakfast is ready, your boots should be thawed enough to tie. Use the mylar to sit on now, because a wet bottom, is a wet bottom.
