Poison Ivy Relief

One thing that can help a great deal is to apply aloe straight from an aloe vera plant. The juice is usually thick enough that it will hang onto you long enough for it to dry and be absorbed into your skin. It cools, releives the itching and inflammation. Also some have recommended the homeopathic remedy rhus tox, which is available at most natural food stores nowdays and can also be easily carried on the trail, since it comes in tablet form. Have not yet tried the rhus tox, but am currently using the aloe for relief.
